Apeks XTX 40 Octopus

The Apeks XTX 40 Octopus Regulator delivers high-performance backup breathing with rugged reliability, ideal for cold-water and technical diving. Built to match the performance of the XTX40 second stage, it includes left/right hand reversibility and a pneumatically balanced valve for smooth and consistent breathing—exactly when you need it most.

Designed with safety and durability in mind, the XTX40 Octopus features a high-visibility yellow front cover and 36” yellow hose, making it easy to locate in emergency situations. A two-shot high-strength composite front cover enhances impact resistance, protecting the valve in demanding dive conditions. The purge button is large and easy to operate, even with gloves, and the diver-adjustable Venturi lever reduces the risk of free-flow in turbulent conditions.

This second stage is manufactured with antimicrobial additives in all moulded parts, helping to protect against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Finished with Apeks’ signature Comfo-bite™ mouthpiece, it minimises jaw fatigue on long dives and ensures a comfortable fit.
